Once the application is processed for reimbursement, it will go to payroll, which will include the amount to your next upcoming paycheck, depending on when the cutoff period is. When your application status changes to "Payment Completed," you'll receive an email letting you know which paycheck the reimbursement will be on and the amount.
Yes, the reimbursement amount will get taxed. It will appear as “Citizenship Fee Asst Reimb” on your Kaiser Permanente pay stub.

Invoice and receipt must list applicant name, itemized fee(s), payment made in full, and payment method used, such as credit card, check, cash, etc.
Citizenship course fee (if applicable):
Invoice and receipt must list applicant name, course name, course start/end dates, itemized fee(s), payment made in full, and payment method used such as credit card, check, cash, etc.
Proof of course completion must list applicant name, course name, course start/end dates and successful completion or grade.
Note: Courses are to be taken on the employee’s own time and outside regular working hours.

The best way is to upload your documents to your application. Other options are emailing documents to national-tra@kp.org or
faxing them to 877-201-0081. When emailing or faxing documents, make sure the application ID number, your full name and NUID are legible and visible.

No, you don’t need to approve the application. But you’re required to code and report the paid day off for the employee to attend the naturalization ceremony.
Once the employee completes and passes the interview exam, the employee can request to take a paid day off to attend their naturalization ceremony.
You can request for proof of the naturalization ceremony date and time (at your discretion).
